Rheinmetall, a leader in defence and security technologies and VRAI, a simulation data company, have announced a partnership in the area of simulation data & AI. This cooperation aims to unlock the power of data driven insights to improve armor crew performance, and to build the large datasets that will enable AI tools to support armor crews, crucial for the modern operating environment.

VRAI’s mission is to redefine exceptional human performance, and believe that the data generated in simulators is an untapped resource that can be used to transform how people train.

VRAI are niche leaders in simulation data, providing human performance data products to their customers, delivering data driven insights that reduce the cost and time to train personnel, while improving crew performance.

The partnership with Rheinmetall is recognition of the innovative data solutions VRAI can offer to Rheinmetall, and how Rheinmetall are driving innovation in the training and simulation space for their customers.

Rheinmetall and VRAI signed their new agreement at the world's largest simulation & training conference, I/ITSEC, in Orlando’s Orange County Convention Centre in Florida this week. Commenting on the new partnership, Bartek Panasewicz, VP Training Systems Land at Rheinmetall said:

“In my opinion, this partnership demonstrates our ability to be a systems integrator, consistently combining best-in-class technologies to develop turnkey solutions for our customers. The partnership with VRAI has been very beneficial so far, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration. We’re seeing a huge increase in demand for AI enhanced training data assessment.”

Rheinmetall & VRAI will collaborate around VRAI’s HEAT simulation data solution to offer insights into what drives armor crew performance, starting initially with the XR Driving Simulator, with the potential to expand from there to other armor vehicle simulation solutions.

Commenting on this partnership, Pat O’Connor, VRAI’s CEO said:

“I believe that this collaboration with Rheinmetall is a great example of how niche technology companies like VRAI can partner with some of the biggest and best defence and security companies in Europe to deliver outstanding solutions to our customers. We believe that the data generated in simulation can not only drive insight into performance, but is also critical to our customers ability to build AI enabled support tools for their end users.”
